Who says size matters? This little stunner of a Georgian pendant proves big isn't always better. Crafted in silver and set with shimmering white paste in the form of a tiny flower, she may be small, but she knows how to sparkle.

Wear her dangling from a long chain upon your décolletage or on an antique ribbon up high and close to the neck. This is one of those little legacy pieces you'll reach for again and again, all old-soul sparkle in the sunshine and positively magical by candlelight.

And if you've been waiting to dip a toe into the world of antique jewellery, she might just be the one. Georgian paste is increasingly sought after by collectors, yet remains a wonderfully accessible way to own a genuinely historic piece of jewellery.

Paste was developed as a brilliant alternative to precious gemstones, using specially formulated glass that could be cut and faceted to mimic the fire of diamonds, rubies, emeralds and other stones. Far from being simply a substitute for precious stones, fine paste jewellery was worn by fashionable society and could be exquisitely made in its own right.
