A little dark, a lot decadent, and more than enough drama to send shivers right down your spine. This spectacular Victorian Bohemian garnet necklace cascades across the décolletage in a riot of deep-red garnets, glittering with every move.

Clusters of faceted garnets form intricate flowers before falling into graduated articulated drops, creating that wonderful sense of movement that makes these rare nineteenth-century necklaces so irresistible. Set into traditional gilt metal, the stones shift from deep wine and oxblood to flashes of fiery crimson as they catch the light.

Bohemian garnet jewellery reached the height of fashion during the nineteenth century, when garnets mined in the historic region of Bohemia (now part of the Czech Republic) were cut and tightly clustered together to maximise their extraordinary colour and brilliance. The result was jewellery that was opulent, dramatic and designed to be noticed. And this one most definitely gets noticed!
