Hung from a chunky silver chain (not included), this stunner of an antique pendant has that lived-in, layer-it-with-anything elegance equally at home going classic with a white button-down as with your favourite faded band tee. Set in a silver frame and centred with an applied silver cipher in an ornate, interlocking script monogram (reads as "CS" or "SC"), it has the hand-tooled shading typical of Victorian engraving.
Black onyx lockets like this one have roots in Victorian sentimental jewellery, worn to honour a loved one after their passing or simply to signal sweetheart sentiment. Monogrammed pieces were personal keepsakes rather than mass-produced adornment.
